Bold & Beautiful session: Neha Dhupia Talks Resilience, Work-Life Balance, and Self-Love
Neha Dhupia, renowned beauty pageant winner, model, and actress, shared insights into the strength of working women during a ‘Bold & Beautiful’ session organized by YFLO. According to her, the success of any working woman is often attributed to the collective support of many others in the workforce.
Reflecting on her own journey, Neha recalled winning the title of Femina Miss India in Hyderabad in 2002 and expressed her love for the city. In a conversation with Aarthi Shah, Chairperson of YFLO, Neha emphasized the bold and beautiful spirit that defines the organization, acknowledging that her success has become an inspiration for women nationwide.
During the 45-minute discussion attended by over 200 YFLO and FLO members, Neha touched on various aspects of her life, including her entry into the beauty pageant world, career, marriage, kids, family, and achieving work-life balance. Responding to a question on work-life balance, she emphasized that it evolves over time and comes from a holistic understanding of life.
Neha shared personal anecdotes, such as the challenges she faced during her early days in Mumbai for a beauty pageant, highlighting the importance of overcoming life’s small obstacles. She also addressed the generational differences in challenges, acknowledging the increased opportunities and struggles for newcomers in the industry.
Discussing success and failure, Neha stressed the significance of staying humble and grateful, regardless of the outcome. She emphasized the valuable lessons learned from failures and encouraged a positive and humble attitude.
Regarding the evolving landscape of the entertainment industry, Neha noted the impact of digital platforms, remote work, and the prevalence of social media. She expressed her views on responsible social media use, particularly concerning children, and highlighted the importance of valuing time and practicing self-love.
Looking ahead to 2024, Neha expressed excitement about upcoming projects, including an OTT show on mental health and a production slated for January. Responding to a question about the success of Fauji kids in beauty pageants, she attributed it to their exposure, social skills, and adaptability gained from their unique lifestyle.
