I was watching this Telugu film ‘ Hello’ and was reminded of how intrigued I was with the concept of a soul mate.
Long long ago I was reading a book by Paulo Coelho…no no…not Alchemist. The book is Brida. While I didn’t get much of the book…I was extremely impressed with Paulo’s wise quotes as usual and yes my imagination was ignited when I read about Soul Mate.
According to the author Soul Mate need not necessarily be of opposite gender or it may even happen like this that he may be your life partner or may not be. He could be your friend, sister…or any one. You may discover the soul mate or spend the whole life not finding your soul mate…It can be more than one too. And it can be that you found your soul mate who you ensured stayed in your life by marrying or you may have met but parted ways.
In simple terms, a soul mate is the one who brings the best out of you.
How does one find a soul mate with just one clue. For example if Paulo Coelho said that a soul mate brings the best and also the worst in you, then it’s easy…most husbands or for that matter wives would then be soul mates of their spouse.
Or if he said once you find your soul mate you will always be in touch with him or her…that will include many of our social media friends…well that’s a bad clue no doubt…it only leads to more confusion.
And if he said that your soul mate is always in your thoughts…filling your mind when you are awake or asleep…pardon my insolence that could also be your boss and the looming deadline.
Here’s what Paulo Coelho said…on how to find your soul mate.
“How will I know who my Soulmate is?” Brida felt that this was one of the most important questions she had ever asked in her life.
By taking risks’ she said to Brida. ‘ By risking failure, disappointment, disillusion, but never ceasing in you search for Love. As long as you keep looking, you will triumph in the end.”
Well…that’s the clue…KEEP LOOKING
