Khel Khel Mein

Khel Khel Mein begins with introduction to three interesting couples, a single man and a yet to be married couple whose marriage is happening in Jaipur and all arrive at the venue, all start having fun until they start a game

Written by Rajeshwari Kalyanam

Khel Khel MeinHarpreet & Harpreet – wedded without kids, wife (Tapsee Pannu) a Lifecoach of a Vlogger, and husband (Ammy Virk)  in the automobile industry tired of trying for kids; Samar, son of a successful business man and his shopaholic wife Naina Talwar (Pragya Jaiswal); Kabir (Fardeen Khan) the elusive cricket coach who refuses to introduce his girlfriend Akshita to others; Rishab Mallik (Akshay Kumar) and his second wife Vartika Mallik (Veena Kapoor) – Different couples, different vocations, different life situations. And, they decide to put all their phones on the table for a night and none of their messages and mails would be private; the phones would be public property – meaning – all texts and messages on everyone’s phone would be read out loud…

Khel Khel MeinThe scenes are well knit together and the screenplay alternates between the varied entertainment, drama, and emotion making Khel Khel Mein more than just a film you watch in Khel Khel Mein. Mudassar Aziz, who enjoyed success with Happy Bhaag Jayegi has managed to write and direct an engaging family drama with suspense, revelations and resolutions.

The large star cast of the film has done a good job in this husband and wife drama that for once is not reduced to below the belt humour and over the top acting. The film ends up to be a poignant tale of modern day lives where appearances are deceptive, and all it takes is a night of transparency to reveal the truths that have life changing consequences.

This T Series and Wackoo Films Production is based on the popular film Perfect Strangers. The film is streaming on Netflix.
