Feet of Earth Festival conceived and curated by Classical dancer Pujita Krishna will be held on October 22 and 24 at Salarjung Museum

The Feet on Earth Festival is an initiative driven by the intent to bring together the worlds of arts, culture, history and ecology. Poised on the intersection of urbanity and tradition, Hyderabad possesses the advantages of a unique landscape, live with dynamic cultural traditions and of course a long and interesting history.
The festival has been conceived, curated and organised by Feet on Earth, founded by Pujita Krishna.
The two day performing arts festival is to be held on 22nd and 23rd Oct, 2022, at the auditorium of the Salarjung Museum on the banks of the Musi. The edifice and the river are both remnants of the past and reminders of the chequered history of this city.
It being our maiden year, we are honoured to have artists like Sharmila Biswas, a renowned Odissi dancer and a hereditary artist like Keremane Shridhara Hegde who represents a rare form of Yakshagana or Bayalata from Idagunji, Karnataka. The festival will also feature physical theatre by Pallavi Verma Minnaganti and Nenita Praveen that combines elements of theatre with that of movement.
Pujita Krishna, Srividya Angara Sinha and Sannidha RajaSagi will present Kuchipudi. The objective of the festival for the future is to present consummate artists from around the country but also to those who are up and coming. The festival will also showcase lesser represented performing arts aside from mainstream forms. For instance, Yakshagana from Karnataka is being showcased for the first time in Hyderabad this year.
The motif for this year is apah or water and we intend to bring in elements of history and visual arts connected with this theme in our festival.
The event is free and open to all. Program begins at 6:30 pm.
