In an unprecedented event, the Young FICCI Ladies Organisation (YFLO) hosted a special session titled “The Regal Empowerment” on Wednesday evening at The Leela Hyderabad, celebrating the impactful contributions of Indian royal women. The session brought together five distinguished members of royal families, who demonstrated that true royalty is not defined by titles, but by the ability to inspire change in the world.

The panel featured Maharaj Kumar Sahib Dr. Lakshyaraj Singh Mewar from Udaipur, H.H. Maharani Radhikaraje Gaekwad from Baroda, Nawabzadi Aaliya Sultana Babi, known as the “Dinosaur Princess” from Balasinor, Rani Preeti Singh from Nabha, and Princess Meenal Kumari Singh Deo from Dhenkanal. Ridhi Jain, Chairperson of YFLO, opened the session with a powerful statement: “The Future is female.” She emphasized that the legacies of these royals are not defined by their royal lineage, but by their actions, leadership, and contributions to empowering others.

Highlighting the changing role of royal families in a post-colonial world, the participants shared how they have adapted while maintaining their historical values. Despite the abolition of princely states, royal families continue to play a significant role in their communities through education, women’s empowerment, and conservation.

The event, attended by over 300 guests, was a testament to the ongoing relevance of royal families in modern India. Ridhi Jain summed up the event by stating, “True royalty is defined not by titles but by how we uplift others and drive change. This unique program reinforced that royalty means much more than just heritage; it’s about service, compassion, and inspiring future generations to make a difference.
