Virinchi Varma, the director behind Uyyala Jampala and Majnu, is joining hands with Evarikee Cheppoddu fame actor-producer Rakesh Varre for a political biopic titled Jithender Reddy. Vaishali Raj, Riya Suman play the female leads in the film produced by Muduganti Ravinder Reddy under Muduganti Creations. Chatrapathi Shekhar, Subbaraju and Ravi Prakash are also part of the film.
While the film’s promotional material – including the first look poster, glimpse, and teaser – did enough to pique a viewer’s curiosity, the makers have now released an intense theatrical trailer this week. In addition, they’ve confirmed that the film will be hitting screens on May 10. The trailer promises a hard-hitting film, timed right for the election season.
Jithender Reddy tells the story of a man, committed to societal welfare since his formative years. From emerging as a leader in college elections to confronting the police force and naxals, the glimpse showcases the leader’s resolve against the backdrop of 1980s. His interactions with former actor-politician NTR in the trailer warrant attention.V S Gnana Shekhar cranks the camera for the film which has music by Gopi Sundar.
