Critically acclaimed Tamil film Rangoli is all set to entertain audiences in Telugu as Satya later this month. Hamaresh and Prarthana Sandeep played the lead roles in the film written and directed by Vaali Mohan Das. Produced by K Babu Reddy and G Satish Kumar, the film is releasing in Telugu states via Sivam Media, founded by popular media person Siva Mallala.
The teaser released by the team earlier this week shows how a teenager finds it difficult to adapt to the ambience of a private school, while also focusing on his relationship with his father. The film is a gripping father-son drama with a dose of romance, also offering a unique take on class divide. Muruga Doss, Amit Bhargav, Sanjay, Ragul, Vishwa, Akshaya Hariharan, Krithiga and Sai Sree are also part of Satya.
At a promotional event held this week, producer Satish Kumar expressed his happiness about the film’s Telugu release, conveying his gratitude to Siva Mallala. “I have known Hamaresh from his early days as a child artiste and have witnessed his consistent efforts to make a mark in films. We collaborated on Rangoli, which performed well at the box office. I hope the film does well in AP and Telangana too.”
Hamaresh shared, “I watch every Telugu film that releases in Chennai. My father hails from Srisailam and my mom is from Chennai; I love Tamil and Telugu industries equally. Many congratulatory messages came my way after Rangoli’s release. I am very aware of the Telugu audience’s love for cinema and I can’t wait for Satya’s release.” Prarthana too shared her excitement about working in Satya.
“Having lost my father, I realised his value in my life only now. Every child wonders what he/she would inherit from their father but in this film, Satya is a son who’ll go the extra mile to give back to his father. I’m glad to be turning a producer with the film and I thank Satish for trusting me,” Siva Mallala added. The release date of Satya will be announced shortly.
