Sankranthiki Vasthunam

Sankranthiki Vasthunam is the much-awaited festive release starring Victory Venkatesh. Discover his insights about the movie’s unique genre, chartbuster songs, and what makes it a must-watch this Sankranti

Excerpts from the Interview

How excited are you for the release of Sankranthiki Vasthunam?

This is another milestone in my career. It feels great to present a clean, entertaining film with a unique genre that includes a touch of crime. I enjoyed the journey of making this movie. Most of my Sankranti releases have been successful, and I strongly believe this movie will perform wonderfully at the box office.

What motivated you to promote the movie so energetically?

It came naturally! I love dancing, and the soundtracks had a crazy vibe that energized me. The dynamic team, including director Anil and my co-stars, Meenakshi Chaudhary and Aishwarya Rajesh, inspired me to try something new with the promotions. I’m thrilled audiences are enjoying them.

Whose idea was it for you to sing a song?

When I heard the song late at night, I danced to it instinctively. It was brimming with energy! I jokingly offered to sing it, and surprisingly, my voice worked. The English words in the lyrics made it easier for me (laughs).

What element excited you the most about the story of Sankranthiki Vasthunam?

The line “Ex-cop, ex-girlfriend, excellent wife” felt incredibly fresh to me. It promised a minimum guarantee film with a unique mix of comedy and drama. Director Anil and I share a successful combination, and this film allowed me to explore a fresh style of performance and comedy.

Your thoughts on Meenakshi Chaudhary and Aishwarya Rajesh?

Both actresses have delivered outstanding performances in their respective roles. They added so much energy and depth to their characters.

About Bheems Ceciroleo’s music for the film?

Bheems has worked exceptionally hard to deliver an incredible soundtrack. The songs, especially “Godari Gattu,” have already become massive hits, with over 85 million views. I’m thrilled with the audience’s response.

What was it like portraying an ex-cop?

It was pure fun! One scene where my ex-girlfriend confronts me saying, “Were you ever thinking about me?” had me in stitches. Adding to that was the chaos of having four kids in the movie—one of them being particularly mischievous (laughs). These moments will surely entertain the audience.

Dil Raju said producers don’t need to visit the sets when you’re around. Is that true?

Not entirely (laughs). I’ve always treated every film like my own production, working sincerely and ensuring a happy atmosphere on set. My journey with Dil Raju’s team has been very comfortable, and I’m proud of the successes we’ve shared.

How was your experience on Balakrishna’s Unstoppable show?

It was a fantastic experience. I had a wonderful time and truly enjoyed being on the show.

Do hits and flops affect you?

I believe in working sincerely and honestly. Hits and flops are not in our hands, so I don’t dwell on them much.

Why do you post positive messages on social media?

I believe in staying positive and avoiding overthinking. Starting the day with positivity makes life much smoother and more enjoyable.

When can we expect Rana Naidu 2?

It’s likely to release in March. I’ve already completed my dubbing work.

What about your next movie?

Discussions are ongoing with Suresh Production, Sithara Entertainments, Mythri Movie Makers, and Vyjayanthi Movies. Nothing has been finalized yet.
