Srisailam Mahashivratri Brahmotsavam will go on till March 1

On the occasion of Maha Shivaratri, preparations were in progress at Srisailam Mallikarjuna Swamy Temple for the Mahashivratri Brahmotsavam, which began from February 19 and will go on till March 1 in Srisailam.

The Minister of the AP Endowment Department, Anam Ramanarayana Reddy, conducted a review meeting with officials to discuss the festival preparations. During the meeting, the Minister emphasized the significance of the Mahashivratri Brahmotsavam and urged officials to ensure that the event is organized with care to highlight its spiritual essence and sacredness.

The Brahmotsavam started on 19th February 2025, with all necessary arrangements. The Chief Minister of AP, Chandrababu Naidu, was formally invited to participate in Brahmotsavam. Additionally, the minister presented silk robes to Srisailam Mallikarjuna Swamy on February 23rd.

He issued guidelines to the officials concerning the puja programs at the temple, emphasizing that they should adhere to the recommendations and insights of the Agama scholars (Agama Shastra). He stated that the safety of the devotees visiting the temple was the utmost priority, and if necessary, the officials should also take the help of drones for this.
