Capricio, the name is English, but the band sings in Telugu. Young and passionate, this group of boys band began by singing Telugu and Hindi film songs, but they were more or less greeted by empty chairs. “From those days when we would hope that the chairs would fill to now when we have our calendars full, it has been a momentous journey,” shares Eknath, the founding member of the group, which now enjoys popularity and love from the young music lovers and club hoppers of Hyderabad and beyond.
Over the last couple of years, along with growth, Capricio has had a few members leave and have added new members to their team. In what can probably be termed one of the first concerts post-lockdown, at Hylife, the band launched its new logo signifying their journey and dreams.
Capricio’s journey started with just four members, and the sounds of their drums and the strums of their guitar made their way into the hearts of music lovers gradually, and since then there has been no looking back. The band went on to perform in other countries like Dubai and the US.
The concert that followed the logo launch on January 17, 2021, marks a new beginning of sorts for the band that has on vocals and bass Eknath, Ayaan is also into vocals, Shrava on keyboards, Nishanth on Guitars and Teja, the percussionist also the founder.
During the launch Eknath said that the band dedicates the logo to all the people who helped them reach where they are. The year 2021 begins with new hopes and plans and evidently the band performed an entirely new set of songs apart from their older, much popular song set. Interestingly these were lapped up too with much gusto by the audience who came equipped with their masks on, determined to enjoy the first concert of 2021.
